Robert is a member of the Philippine Bar and a Foreign Legal Advisor at Kelvin Chia Partnership. He has assisted in shareholder disputes, schemes of arrangement, tort claims and family disputes.
Before joining KCP, he was part of the international law and practice group of the National University of Singapore Centre for International Law researching on international dispute resolution, ASEAN Law, and comparative constitutional law. He also worked as a senior court attorney of the Chief Justice of the Philippines and handled cases involving constitutional, intellectual property, ICT, labor and public international laws. He trained at the U.N. Assistance to the Khmer Rouge Trials in Cambodia as part of its international prosecution team; did pro bono work at the Supreme Court of the State of New York (Kings County) where he assisted in medical malpractice cases; and interned at the Office of the Solicitor General of the Philippines where he assisted in constitutional law cases.
Robert was a varsity swimmer, debater, and mooter. He established the international law moot court organizations of Michigan and FEU and later on coached their respective Jessup Teams. He is bilingual in English and Filipino.
