Cristina began her legal career in the Philippines as a dispute resolution lawyer. She has handled cases covering a diverse range of subjects, such as contractual disputes, product liability, torts, public utilities, taxes and other governmental impositions, banking and securities, intra-corporate controversies, employment disputes, and family law. She has also acted for and advised clients from various sectors, including banking, consumer goods, energy and resources, infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, and technology.
Previously, she worked as a trainee lawyer at the Energy Charter Secretariat (Brussels, Belgium) and the United Nations World Food Programme Legal Office (Rome, Italy), where she gained considerable experience in public international law and international dispute resolution.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
