Kok Swee Fong's area of practice is in property transactions. She is well-versed in the legal and practical issues inherent to the purchase, sale and financing of residential, commercial and industrial properties.
Having worked in local financial institutions and the Urban Redevelopment Authority, she brings considerable knowledge and experience to her practice area. Her work experience in financial institutions enhances her knowledge of security documentation, loan restructuring and security enforcement. As a legal officer in the Urban Redevelopment Authority she handled work relating to tenders/sales of state owned properties, tenancies, land acquisition and other property-related matters. Her knowledge of the detailed processes for property transactions from the varying perspectives of the consumer, lender and regulator enables her to advise the clients of the firm more effectively and from a well-rounded perspective.
In addition to the work of a conveyancer, Swee Fong advises, negotiates and drafts tenancies and leases for residential, commercial and industrial properties. She is also familiar with financing transactions for property matters. Her other areas of solicitors' work include the drafting of powers of attorney, wills and deed polls.
Swee Fong has lectured on land law at the Institute of Banking & Finance and the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers.
